Please note that the Virgin MK3 set will continue to be used on the 18:43 Euston to Crewe 1K39 on Friday only for the foreseeable future despite suggestions stating that it would revert back to Pendolino operations.

Loco-Hauled Diagrams

The MK3 set commonly known as WB64 should operate the following services on Friday’s only when it is not doing other duties for Virgin. This information applies until further notice:

Please note that both 5N42 and 5A42 are driver training runs in order to maintain traction knowledge up on the class 90s and MK3 set.

Furthermore, the hired in class 90 from Freightliner is booked to arrive Wembley in the early hours of every Friday morning to form the above services.

On arrival at Crewe off 1K39, the electric engine should be ripped from the set of stock leaving a class 57 to take the returning ecs of 5A39 to go to Wembley unless the 90 is required for an extended hire period.
