01/6/12 - 90016 hired to Virgin Trains for use on WB64: In the early hours of the 1st June, 90016 was hired to Virgin Trains from Freightliner and initially ran light engine from Crewe to Wembley depot to be attached to WB64.

03/6/12 - Scotrail Sleeper diversions due to engineering work: On Sunday 3rd June 2012, the Scotrail Sleeper services were diverted via the East Coast Main Line in both directions owing to engineering work south of Carstairs.

10/6/12 - Key highlights for week commencing 3rd June 2012: The key highlights for this week included 90026 working a freight train namely 6B41/6A42 vice-booked traction; 90045 was hired to Virgin and 90006 moved back to Crown Point.

11/6/12 - 90003 dragged from Crown Point to Crewe EMD for planned overhaul: As part of the ongoing programme to overhaul Greater Anglia class 90s, next to go was 90003. The 90 were dragged via booked route to Crewe by 66303.

13/6/12 - 90035 works a private charter from Euston to Manchester Piccadilly: A private charter train ran today using old Virgin MK2s operated by 90035 between Euston-Manchester-Euston in addition to having 67019 DOR for company.

14/6/12 - 90043 fails at Crewe with air-con unit issue on 4L89: In the early hours of the 14th June 2012, 90043 was declared a failure at Crewe whilst in charge of 4L89 Coatbridge to Ipswich - the 90 was swapped with another one.
