14/1/12 - DB removes buckeye from sole remaining 90s in traffic: In a surprise move DB has removed from the buckeye from the sole remaining class 90s in traffic (non-stored) which included 90018, 90019 and 90020.

17/1/12 - Key highlights for week commencing 8th Janaury 2012: The key highlights for this week included 90024 being hired to NXEA; 90041 being hired to Virgin Trains and 90029/90042 could be found out of traffic at Crewe.

20/1/12 - 90041 hired to Virgin Trains for use on WB64: In the early hours of the 20th January 2012, 90041 was hired to Virgin Trains from Freightliner and initially ran light engine from Crewe to Wembley depot to be attached to WB64.

23/1/12 - Key highlights for week commencing 15th Janaury 2012: The key highlights for this week included 90024 being out on the GEML; 90001 and 90008 were out of traffic at Crown Point all week as was 90048 but at Crewe LNWR.

23/1/12 - 90007 & 90024 suffer failures whislt working NXEA services: On the 23rd January 90007 and 90024 both suffered back-to-back failures in two separate incidents on the GEML - this resulted in the thunderbird being deployed,

24/1/12 - 90001 stopped out of traffic at Crown Point until further notice: This loco has been stopped at Crown Point with an electrical fault therefore will remain out of traffic at the East Anglia depot until further notice.

27/1/12 - 90041 hired to Virgin Trains for use on WB64: In the early hours of the 27th January 2012, 90049 was hired to Virgin Trains from Freightliner and initially ran light engine from Crewe to Wembley depot to be attached to WB64.

28/1/12 - 90041 encounters an issue at Manning while working 4M45: In the early hours of the 28th January 2012, 90041 was declared a failure in the Manningtree and was eventually rescued which came in the form of 66511.

30/1/12 - Key highlights for week commencing 22nd Janaury 2012: The key highlights for this week included 90001 and 90015 being stooped at Crow Point; 90049 was hired to Virgin Trains and there were double 90 failures at NXEA.
