90003 - 12th July 1988


On the 12th July 1988 the first class 90 worked a passenger train and this involved 90003 performing a service from Preston to Euston (above). Photo by N.Ross.

90008 - May 1988


In 1988 as new 90008 went to Hamburg to be a display loco at IVA88 & was pictured at the event above. Note this is the only class 90 to have been abroad - photo by D.Coxon.  

90038 - 26th April 1990

90004 - Late 1980s

90007 - Early 1990s


Standing in the loco holding sidings at Euston between platform 15 & 16 this 90 was pictured looking very clean - note the old style display case for the headlights.

Carlisle - Early 1990s


This is a shot of two class 90s in Mainline livery in the stabling point at Carlisle station - this was once a common scene - the loco numbers are unknown as is the exact date.
