2/12/12 - Key highlights for w/c 25th November 2012: The key highlights from w/c 25/11/12 included 90029 being moved from Crewe EMD to Toton via Bescot to be painted into DB red in addition to 90044 being hired to Virgin Trains on WB64

5/12/12 - 90008 dragged back south from Crewe to Crown Point: Following a planned overhaul, 90008 moved back south today from Crewe EMD to Crown Point travelling via the WCML and was dragged by 47818 throughout.

6/12/12 - Poor operational day for Greater Anglia due to various issues: Owing to some technical issues with some traction and rolling stock involving the 90s and DVTs, GA unfortunately encountered some disruption to services.

6/12/12 - Transport Minister extends Virgin Franchise by 23 months: Today the Transport Minister announced he will be extending the current franchise contract for 23 months longer which will take it through to November 2014.

7/12/12 - Virgin Trains runs final loco-hauled 1K39 from Euston to Crewe: 90044 worked the final loco-hauled 1K39 between Euston and Crewe with WB64 today which included an earlier trip to and from Birmingham New Street.

11/12/12 - Key highlights for w/c 2nd December 2012: The key highlights from w/c 2/12/12 included 90044 being on hire to Virgin Trains working the final loco-hauled 1K39 and 90008 got dragged back from Crewe to Crown Point.

11/12/12 - 90029 released from Toton back into traffic following paintjob: On the 11th December 2012, 90029 was released from Toton and got dragged back to Crewe via Bescot. On arrival at Crewe she quickly entered traffic with DB.

13/12/12 - 90043 runs into trouble at Manningtree & was rescued by a class 66: In the early hours of this morning 90043 encountered issues with her pantograph due to ice on the OHLE and this resulted in the 90 being rescued by a class 66

13/12/12 - 90029 makes her debut passenger outing in new DB livery: Following her release from Toton 90029 made her debut passenger outing late today by working the “down” Highland sleeper from Euston to Edinburgh (1s25).
