The key highlights from w/c 9th April included 90016 & 90046 working in a pair at the start of the week on intermodal duties between Daventry and Coatbridge. In addition, 90005 was dragged back from Crewe to Crown Point by 57301 following a planned overhaul.
In other news, 90039 went back on hire to Virgin East Coast and Freightliner class 90s continued to be hired to GBRF for sleeper duties, which included a run on the ECML at the start of the week with the diverted Highland sleeper 1M16. Finally, there were a number of 90s in & out of traffic this week, which included 90005, 90006, 90014, 90020, 90021, 90026, 90034, 90035 & others,
At the time of writing 90005 had returned to East Anglia (13/4/17) and had re-entered traffic with the TOC following an overhaul. Other 90s out of service included 90014, 90020, 90021, 90026, 90034, 90035, 90041, 90045 and 90046.
