This section of the website details the existing class 90 fleet that is either stored or serviceable. I have to report that there are now 16 class 90s in storage at Crewe IEMD, but 34 remain operational. Those 90s that are either stored or serviceable have been listed on this webpage. This includes:
- Known reason/s why the class 90s were stored in the first instance;
- Known dates when the locomotives were stored at Crewe IEMD and;
- A list of those that remain in traffic including there known operator.
Greater Anglia
There are 15 class 90s in service with Greater Anglia:
90001, 90002, 90003, 90004,
90005, 90006, 90007, 90008,
90009, 90010, 90011, 90012,
90013, 90014, 90015.
There are no alterations to report on at present. I shall update this page if anything changes in the meantime.
DB Schenker
There are 9 class 90s in service with DB Schenker:
90018, 90019, 90020, 90021,
90024, 90028, 90035, 90036,
90039.
The latest changes to the DB fleet includes the storing 90029 again in mid Feb. In addition, 90018 has been reinstated & 90026 is still stored.
There are 10 class 90s in service with Freightliner:
90016, 90041, 90042, 90043,
90044, 90045, 90046, 90047,
90048, 90049.
Please note that 90016 transferred to Freightliner in 2004. In addition 90042 and 90046 to remain out of traffic at Crewe LNWR until further for repairs..
