02/4/12 - 90003 & set of stock in trouble at Greater Anglia: On the afternoon of the 2nd April 2012, 90003 and set of stock suffered technical issues whilst working the 15:00 service from London Liverpool Street and needed rescuing.

03/4/12 - 90006 on thunderbird duties vice-class 47: During w/c 1st April 2012, 90006 was deployed to Colchester to be the thunderbird loco vice-DRS class 47 due to fleet issues.

05/4/12 - 90043 hired to Virgin Trains for use on WB64: In the early hours of the 5th April 2012, 90043 was hired to Virgin Trains from Freightliner and initially ran light engine from Crewe to Wembley depot to be attached to WB64.

08/4/12 - East Coast Scotrail Sleeper Diversions: On Sunday 8th April 2012 the Scotrail Sleepers were diverted via the East Coast due to planned engineering work on the West Coast - all sleepers in both directions were affected.

10/4/12 - 90046 works a test run between Crewe & Stafford: Following her derailment in February 2012 and being reinstated to traffic, 90046 undertook a test run today between Crewe & Stafford with 90045 for operational reasons.

10/4/12 - 90008 works a test run between Norwich & Ilford: Following a series of failures over a number of weeks and preparedness to return to traffic, 90008 undertook a test run today from Crown Point to Ilford.

11/4/12 - 90008 & 90046 re-enter traffic with Freightliner & Greater Anglia: On the 10th May 2012, 90043 worked a private charter between Liverpool-Euston-Liverpool using the Virgin Trains MK3 set (WB64).

12/4/12 - Triple class 90 failures for Freightliner all on the same day: On Thursday 12 April 2012 Freightliner suffered 3 class 90 failures on the same day. This involved 90016, 90043 and 90048 at various stages during the day.

13/4/12 - Key highlights for week commencing 1st April 2012: The key highlights for this week included 90009 being stopped out of traffic at Crewe for overhaul purposes; 90043 was hired to Virgin & 47510 was in action at GA.
